ka.st is the creative practice of Kathleen St. John, an Arizona native now based in the Pacific Northwest. With a Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts from Arizona State University, she has explored various artistic disciplines, including sculpture, stained glass, photography, and ceramics.  Her work spans a range of materials and styles often incorporating found objects and kinetic connections for movement.

Kathleen draws inspiration from both the vibrant desert landscape and the lush Pacific Northwest environment. Her use of colors and textures reflects this unique blend of influences, resulting in pieces that evoke a sense of natural beauty and creative experimentation. Whether crafting wearable objects with silver, turquoise, and other gemstones, or designing album art for her husband's band, Kathleen's work celebrates simplicity, craftsmanship, and the endless possibilities of artistic expression.
